I was reading the Time Magazine the other day and was very surprised to realize Amy Chua, the author of the book "Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother" is one of the 2011 most influential people in the world! Well, I haven't read the book myself but by the name of it I can imagine what it talks about. The Chinese/ Asian parenting method is always controversial, the non stop music lesson, maths lesson, drawing lesson, after school sports, screaming, scolding, etc etc, I was one of those kids who had lots of "lessons" after school but let me tell you, I was actually one of the lucky one, I heard one of my dad's friend's kid has 13 tutorials in one week!!!! And I think he/she's only in Primary school now... and when I asked my friends in Australia, none of them are having an "educational childhood" like mine. I don't know what kind of parents method will help you to raise a straight-A kid, but it seems to me that at the end of the day, there's no different between my friends and I.
