Booking venue for the next market, updating photos, blogs, facebook, changing application form, evaluation and plan for the next event, etc etc. Unlimited tasks with limited time. There are so many things that I want to do better for next time and I can't wait to see the next event happen! Stay tuned coz I'll be announcing who's the lucky winner for the show bags soon!!!

Hunter Valley

IMG_6082

IMG_6065

My parents are here for a visit (for a month) and we went to Hunter Valley last week. I always like hunter valley. Compare to most of the tourists spots, I like Hunter Valley the most. It's just a bit different from the beaches and parks in the city. Anyway, this trip is a bit different, coz my dad left the key in the car while he played golf and we have to borrowed a harmer from the hotel and broke MY NEW CAR'S WINDOW to get the key back!!!!!! I was going to get NRMA but my dad said it would take them 2 hours to come here and at the end they may need to break the window, so why don't we break the window by ourselves....

to market, to market

"The markets gave us direction and taught us to sell and relate to the customer – it also taught us that lots of small customers are better than a few big ones. "

Some high-profile businesses reveal how their market beginnings helped them launch into the big time.

It's a little-known fact that distinctive Australian resin jewellery and homeware business Dinosaur Designs didn't start out primarily as a jewellery designer. The business began at Sydney's Paddington Markets as a fashion label, and made jewellery on the side to accessorise its clothes.

Alexandra Cain from The Age has written a very inspirational article about how small labels turn into giant brand .To read the full article, please click here.

random firework

random firework

I heard this is the wettest December we have ever had! I really hate it. Hot and humid, exactly like Hong Kong. I haven't experience this kind of weather for more than 9 years! Anyway, even though it's been raining all week, this sunday after the Wollongong market it just happened to be clear sky.... and very expectedly, somewhere around my home had big big big fireworks!

I always like firework. We went to grandma's home to watch firework every year when I was a kid. I used to go to Sydney Opera House every new year's eve to watch firework. Firework is expensive and it only last for 2 seconds. But when the firework explode in front of me, my world freeze with happiness and I feel like I am the center of the world.

TV addict...

Junior Masterchef Aus - Episode # 3 / Part 2
Uploaded by MasterChefAus. - Check out other Film & TV videos.

Have been a real TV addict recently. Seriously, Australia is getting so much better this year! Remember those days we have to watch old movies again and again between year end till the Australia Open? This year seems to be a bit different. There are still a few options on TV and also thanks to the digital channels, we don't have to keep ourselves alive on DVDs...

Anyway, did anyone watch Master Chef Junior? Those kids are unreal. Usually I don't like kids overly mature. I really don't like kids talking like adults... but these Junior Chefs are really really cool... some of the stuffs that they cook arn't easy at all... among all of them, I really like Lucy, she's really really cute and I LOVE to see her smile!!

Melbourne has....

changed a lot in the past 2 years!! If I knew Melbourne would be this good I think I would never have left 6 years ago...

Excellent food....

Fancy Southern Cross train station

Cozy cafe that allows people to chat and chat and chat and chat...... I remember when I left melbourne, Starbucks was the only place that we can go for a drink, to meet friends or to study, whatever you need to do, Starbucks next to the Nike shop or the Starbucks at the corner of Collin street were the only two places you can go otherwise you have to go to South Yarra or St Kilda, or other suburbs....

Even better, the government gives you free bike to ride around the city (half an hour) HOW COOL is that!!

Winterland Festival Continue

winterland festival

To be honest I think I am really lucky that....

I have a group of friends that helped me all the way from start till the end of the market. Teresa and her sister and Lucy all came to the market to help me to set up the stalls. Teresa picked me up from home coz she knew I have lots of things to bring along. Lucy came to help after work. Julian drove me home every night and I didn't even ask him to do that.... Margarita came to see me at the market. Lucy also came to help on Saturday... I am so lucky to have them all.

a group of artists who trusted me and agreed to put their stocks at my stall. Without their supports, the market won't be a success. I sincerely thank Ceeb Wassermann , Heather from Ollie & Ruby, Julian Gallardo, Diana Chen and Amanda Hunt for their generous supports and encouragement.

the weather was so nice on Saturday which helps to draw everyone to come out and soaked up the sun and came to the market! I was very worry about the weather coz this Winter, the weather has been horrible! I am so blessed that the weather turned out to be fine on Saturday.

I think I really really lucky. To hear all those lovely comments from everyone, from young kids to elderly people. Thank you very much for dropping by and chat to me when I was so bloody bored !!!

We'll have another market next month. I'll put all the details here soon and I hope to see you soon.
