How to train your dragon

I quite like the movie. It's about a Viking teenager Hiccup found an injured dragon and becomes the best friend of the dragon that kind of typical kid movie. The story is quite "standard "but I still like it. What amazed me was the production of the whole animation in 3D. For every details of those Viking people, the clothing, the sky, the ocean, even the hair on the fingers... it's so details that i wonder how long does it take to make the whole movie...

I've been searching the 3D production whole night and that's all I came up with...

Sad that not a lot of people are paying attention to how the film was mad... animation like this must take a life time long to make and I am sure there's lots of hard work and "thinking" behind it...

An Education

Another rainy week, another rainy day.
Best time to watch movie - an education.

I think it's a book written by Nick Hornby? But I can never find it, I mean the original book. Maybe there arn't any. I read most of his book and I think he's very funny. He has dark humor and he's very sensitive. I love this movie not only because of the story but also the vintage art in the movie. House decoration, dresses, hair, English accent, little houses in Europe and MUSIC!

Leading actress Carey Mulligan is absolutely absolutely beautiful! Can't get my eyes off her for the whole movie. With the beautiful vintage style and really nice music. It has brighten up the rainy cold weekend a little bit.

The theme message is quite strong at the end of the movie. Should we choose to have fun and enjoy our lives or we should choose to study, which is boring and hard? Which one would you choose if you can only pick one? Till now, after finished 2 university degrees, I still don't know which one is right. There are so many questions that I don't know the answer. Should we choose fun or education. Should we study what we love or what we need.

I wish I know.

Shame that the trailer isn't as good as the movie. This movie shows much more than that.

The boys are back

I watched it last night just to kill some time after the tennis. Lately I have to watch some TV before I go to bed to relax my mind. Unless I m already tired, otherwise I just couldn't sleep right after writing or drawing. I guess my mind is too active.

Anyway, this movie is unexpectedly good! I like Clive Owen all the time but I think this movie is one of his best. The story is so heart-breaking and funny and bitter, seriously it has everything! I like how the kid deal with grief. Clive said "This kid is a bit strange. Everyday he has some moment, totally unconscious, I guess this is the way he grief. He misses his mother." When I look at that kid, my heart stopped. The music is so beautiful and the sense of AUSTRALIA is just amazing! It's a breath taking story and movie. Highly recommend.
