website up and running
I heard from a friend that asking someone just to make a website (not an online shop) costs about three grand!! Thank god I know how to make a website, not a fancy but good enough to show whatever I want, or I will just be bankrupt before I get on the business!
Unlike the old website, the new website is driven by the designs instead of the products. I like it this way.

printing fabric
Monday was a very bad day! First, I have a bad day from work. Then I missed the bus when I got home so I end up waiting for an hour. I have like a ton of stuffs need to bring home from my ex, my arm almost fell off when I got home. I gotta print a fabric at night for urgent order, I printed the first one, put that in the stupid oven and it was ALL BURNT!! The whole kitchen smell like shit when I got in and there's smoke coming out!
Quickly print another one but I have all the smudge marks on the fabric!! I want to print another one (again) but there's no fabric left!!!! WHAT THE !!!

new wallets
I came across Carissa's etsy store few weeks ago
and immediately fell in love with her beautiful handmade wallet.
I thought
"wow, that would be great if I can use my own fabric to make wallet"
but my sewing skill is very crap
so I sent Carissa email and asked if she's interested in making wallets with my fabric
Suprisingly, Carissa and I were very excited about this project
once again, this has proved the world is getting smaller and smaller
It has less boundaries and so many possibilities
This is a crazy world!
I ordered some fabrics for Carissa and she finsihed 10 wallets in just a few days!
She is unbelivable!
The wallets are not avalaible online at the moment, you can only get them from PYD market on 26th Oct, or hopefully later in other designer markets.

october 2008

I am so addicted to drawing calender and I think it's a good idea to use monthly calender for my website front page. Oh speaking of which, I think I am the laziest webiste builder in the world... I think my website has left broken for at least 2 months...
Anyway, if any one of you want to use the calender, feel free, just remember to quote where it comes from.
Cheers!

finally.... an update
Oh my god!
I haven't update this blog for how long... almost a month?
Well, life's been pretty busy so far and also some personal stuffs
so everyday is very crazy for me...
Anyway, even if I have an extream life
I never stop drawing
Here's 2009 calendar set, they come as a postcard set and would be avaliable on 26th Oct PYD building market at Waterloo
You'll find my latest craft paper and fabric collections at this market
and hopefully Young Blood Designers market and Finder Keeper market in December
I am so excited about these three markets
coz I will sell complete different things from before
if i do well in these markets, i feel more like a designer than a crafter
anyway... let's see how it goes...
Don't know how can myself handle so many things at the same time while working full time
i guese i just have some super power inside of me that I've never aware of
or i just love drawing things so much!

new fabrics
Looking at my new fabrics make me forgot all of my stress and unhappiness. Last Friday, a patient supposed to do her Ultrasound at 4pm, she called and said she would be 10 minutes because of her work, but by the time she arrived it's already 4.20. I have to go to post office to pick up the fabrics so I was really in a rush.
Sometimes I just couldn't understand why people are so ridiculous. I mean, is work that important? more important than your health and your life? I am very sure the reason why people need to do ultrasound is because they're sick or they don't feel right about their body, I don't understand why when people come here, they always say, "oh i need to do the scan as soon as possible because i need to go back to work", OR some people, like the lady on Friday, would say "sorry i am late, i have to work"
Serously, you can work or you can die. An ultrasound takes just 20- 30 mins, how come you can't take 30 mins off from work? What if you get serious sickness just because you can't take 30 mins off from work ?
Anyway, I learn a lot from this job and I think a lot when I work. I wish everyone cherish their health.
oh oh... totally off the track... i was suppose to talk about my fabrics... well well... my fabrics look great, would be avalaible from my etsy store tonight and I will update my website this week!!

i am so tired
Sseriously I am really tired. Haven't sleep well for ages. Yesterday my boss made me work 15 hours until 9 at night. I want to refuse but don't know how. I am always the nice one, but the nice one always suffered. This is so unfair.
And I have so many things to do. I have fabrics need to finalize. I have stuffs to make for market. I have A LIFE!!
Anyway, enough is enough. I can't work like that anymore. If I have to work at GP area or work over time. I will just say no. I don't care about the money. I want my life. I don't want to be a bitch but if I don't, people think I am an idiot. No one thinks that I am nice, just stupid. At first I think it's nice to be nice, but at the end, people think i am easy to fool

my job
I've been working at this medical center for almost 2 and a half month, can't say that I am 100% love this job but it's absolutely better than my last job. I just moved from GP to radiology for 3 weeks now and this job is so enjoyable. Proabably my boss is nice and patients are so much nicer than those at GP. Can't bear those crazy strange rude patient over the GP side.
Sometimes I missed the time working with other girls, but if I have a choice, I rather stay alone forever than serving rude people for the whole day.Radiology is fun anyway. Fun people fun job. Learn so much from EVERYTHING. Hope I can learn more later on.
Although working here is so much fun, I always miss the free time I have had... sometimes when I got ideas, I really want to rush back home straight away and draw everything down. I can't draw anything when I was working...coz I am not like my mum.. I can't do 10 things at the same time.... how on earth can she do that anyway?

Anyway, these patterns will go to my new fabric print. Can't wait!

fabric designs
Many textile designers preferred their fabrics to be used in houseware projects, but I want my fabric to be used in clothing and bags. It's actually very hard because I am not a fashion designers and I don't know how to make clothes. Anyway, it doesn't matter. I will try hard.

crazy ideas
This is what I have done in three hours... crazy isn't it? But when I have the ideas I just can't stop myself drawing and drawing. Lucky that I have three hours alone today otherwise these ideas will be all gone! I have already order some MOO cards with these designs, hopefully they'll turn out great. But what I really want is the invitation from Spoonflower. Seems everyone got an invitation from Spoonflower but me...how sad is that!!
Anyway... let it be, I'll find somewhere else to print.
Back to work.

fabric printing
Trying to find a place to print my own fabric but it's just so terribily hard! All the website that came out from Goggle are either for promotional printing or for t-shirt printing. I don't know how to make screen print and I don't think I am in a very good position to make it coz my place is very small with carpet. The stamp printed fabrics arn't too bad but I want them to look better. Why is it so hard to find somewhere to print?

new fabric
Sometimes you just never know what you can do! I was asking by a friend to make a rabbit theme notebook, but I never have the time to do it. Last night, I finally got myself to work on this project but I still fail to make a bunny notebook. However, I drew a really good pattern for fabric. At first it's not a Japanese theme but just an ordinary bubble theme, this morning when I got up I suddenly thought of the Japanese fabric that I've always seen in store. So here you go... the Japanese theme bunnies fabirc. I can't believe it turned out so great and so detail !! I really really love it! They look fantastic! I am going to make more color when I have time.
