sydney hot hot hot
Sydney was so hot yesterday, reaching 41 degrees, even my undies are all soak with sweat!! I woke up at 7am to do some housework, then rush to the supermarket to get the newspaper and some food. Lucky it's quite cool in the morning, by the time I finished breakfast, the temperature started to rise, and it's SOOOOOOO HOT !!!! It feels like an oven outside. I wounder how can people live in the middle of Australia??? Are they constantly live in this kind of condition??? I think, if I step outside my home, I will be evaluated!!!
I have to close all the windows so that the cool air will stay in the house. I felt so lazy under the hot weather, but still, because there are a few shops waiting for my stocks, so I have to do some work at home.
After I finished the screen printing, I just jumped into the bath tub to wash the screen, and thank god for that, I actually got some relief from the hot weather !
The weather forecast said the cool air would arrived about 10pm, so I waited and waited and waited till 11pm, I couldn't wait any longer so I went to bed.
OH MY GOD!!! It was so hot I couldn't sleep, and about 2am, the wind started to come, and I couldn't sleep AGAIN coz the wind was so strong that it was banging my windows so hard I thought the whole window would collapse !!!
I think I fell asleep about 4am and this morning I felt like shit....

crative weekend
Stay at home this weekend and work hard
mainly because I spent most of my salary last week
and also because there are so many ideas in my mind and I have to let them all out so that I can have a good night sleep
anyway
made a few tote bags this weekend but don't have enough time to take photos
what I really proud of is this table runenr
I made some rubber block to do the cars print and I absolutely love it
SO CUTE
Also made a small pocket for spoon and fork
I am thinking whether I should sell it or use it at work
People must get so jealous when they see it
Then I made some chocolate pudding
Oh my god
I think I am genius in cooking
Maybe I should apply Master Chef for next season
Everytime when I see Julie made her deserts I really want to make mine
Really like that show
Anyway
This chocolate pudding is fantastic for winter
especially this week coz we have single digit temp

back on tract
Well, as I mentioned in the last post. I am heading back to my crafty tract and starting a less painful life. The book is finally finally finished so I can have some spare time to do my art works.
Here's the first bag that I made after all the crises so I named it "reborn".
Love the way I live now. I am in control of everything. Like today, I started my day with a bit of jogging, then breakfast, read a book, did some art work, took photos of my stocks, then went to Newtown to get some inspirations and enjoy the sunshine. Back home in 2 hours, dinner while watching Master Chef, got more work done then end my day with DVD Howl's Moving Castle. Haven't seen any good animation like this one for long time. I am a big fan of Hayao Miyazaki. I watched all his animation and I really really admire his works. I think started watching his animation since 6 or 7 years old. I love Castle in the sky the most. Every now and then I re-watch this animation and still totally love it.

what I have bought today
Fianlly got the chance to visit Bird Textile in Surry Hills
Actually it's right in front of my door and I saw the business coming from decorating to grand opening. I've been living here for 4 years and I couldn't think of anything excited me more than Bird Textile. But usually I couldn't get the chance to visit the store coz the opening hours is the same as my working hours. Sometimes I was very broke and I knew once I step inside the store, it would get me more broke so I better stay away from the store.
Anyway, I thought bird textile is only a textile design store? Wrong! It's actually the first clmiate neutral business started in 18xx as a pharmacy in Surry Hills!! And a hundred years later, the store came back as a eco friendly textile shop and do the business on the same street!!! HOW COOL IS THAT!
The fabrics are a bit expensive about $80-100 a meter, but they're all hand printed in Byron Bay, NSW, Australia and again of course the fabrics are eco friendly. Bird textile also has dress, home decor and bags. If you have a chance to come to Surry Hills, you can find it on 380 Cleveland street.

new pouches
I can only do small works like that lately because all my heart goes to the fabric printing thing and work. Work is the thing occupied most of my time, when i got home it's already 6pm, after dinner it's already late and tired. I hate that I cannot spend a little bit more of time on my own things. It's such a waste of life.
Anyway can't get everything on my way. Maybe just concentrate on some small projects first and will do something big later...

Double H
I am really excited to announce that Helen and I are going to make one step forward to open our new store Double H which not only focus on handmade goods, but also craft accessories, and my graphic design goodies.
I am always struggling to make perfect bags. I know some people just like the handmade feel of my bag, but I also know someone think my bag making skills are crap, for myself, I love making bags, but I love drawing more...so Helen and I came up with an idea that we can work together while she focus on making bags which she really loves and good at, and I will focus on painting. So here we go Double H!! We branded ourselves double H because my nick name "HE HE" is start with H and of course Helen started with a H, so why not we call ourselves Double H???
Double H is our brand name and store name, Helen will sell some of her handmade bags and fabric there, and I will sell my print out design.
I always want to make some graphic goodies and I think 2008 is the time. Since I don't want to change the brand image of Tamptation, so I will just put all my print out goods at Double H. It's like another product line for me... right now, it's still called tamptation, but maybe later, it will change... i haven't decided it yet.
Here's my first mug
